CSI History
In the month of August, 1983, two visionary and dedicated to education people, the engineer Frederick Dennis Martin, an Englishman and Concepción Arias Paz, a Salvadoran native, decided to join forces to open a bilingual school.
That is how Colegio Salvadoreño Inglés was born and in the month of January 1984 opened its doors offering Salvadoran children great opportunities to be educated holistically.
When the school opened its doors, it started its activities with forty-two students, six teachers and two principals, from Pre-Kindergarten through 4th grade. Due to the rapid growth of the educational institution the British Club was purchased at Colonia Escalón. Subsequently acquired the two adjoining buildings. Obviously structural changes were made to meet the educational requirements.
Now days the facilities were converted into four buildings where three departments are distributed: Infants, Juniors and Seniors, each equipped with sufficient physical space for the development of their academic activities, recreation and of course develop their sporting activities.
Today, El Colegio Salvadoreño Inglés has two sections of each grade, starting from pre-kindergarten through third year High School, divided into 28 classes, a staff of 42 teachers, one assistant principal, a director and 15 high school graduation.
In January 2009 the school will be honored with 25 years of hard work but fruitful, enacting our statement: Moral, Knowledge and Discipline.
